  Jollibee was founded in 1975 in the Philippines. It was founded by Tony Tan Caktiong. He started with a small ice cream parlor called "Jollibee's" in 1975 and quickly expanded to offer burgers and other fast food items and transformed it into the successful fast food chain we know today

• McDonald's started in 1940 as a drive-in restaurant called "McDonald's Bar-B-Que" in San Bernardino, California. It was founded by two brothers, Richard and Maurice McDonald. 
• They initially served a limited menu of burgers, fries, and shakes. The real turning point came in 1948 when they introduced their "Speedee Service System." This involved simplifying the menu, focusing on efficiency, and using an assembly line-style production process. It was a revolutionary approach that changed the way fast food was made and served, and it laid the foundation for McDonald's success. 
• The brothers' innovative system caught the attention of Ray Kroc, a milkshake machine salesman, who saw its potential. He bought the franchise rights in 1961 and expanded the business rapidly, using a franchise model that allowed others to operate McDonald's restaurants. This led to the global phenomenon we know today.

Comparing the quality of food on both McDonald and Jollibee

       The well-known Chickenjoy, Jollibee Spaghetti, and Yumburger are among the dishes on Jollibee's Filipino-inspired menu. These dishes have become staples in Filipino households and have gained popularity not only in the Philippines but also internationally. Jollibee’s food is known for its flavorful and unique taste, which can be attributed to their secret sauces and seasoning.

    On the other hand, McDonald’s is known for its classic menu items such as the Big Mac, Cheeseburger, and Chicken McNuggets. The fast food giant has also expanded its menu to offer healthier options like salads and wraps. McDonald’s is recognized for its consistency in taste and quality across its global locations, ensuring that customers receive the same experience regardless of the country they are in.

• Both Jollibee and McDonald's prioritize food quality and freshness. They have strict standards and protocols in place to ensure that their ingredients are the highest quality and meet safety standards. Both chains have also made efforts to source ingredients locally, supporting local farmers and suppliers. In terms of food quality, both Jollibee and McDonald’s have loyal fan bases who appreciate the distinct flavors and tastes offered by each chain. Ultimately, the choice between Jollibee and McDonald’s may come down to personal preference and the individual’s craving at a given moment, to identify who is the best quality between the two.  According to (Andres et al), Based on the result of the frequency distribution gathered from 337 respondents from the College of Business Administration, the researchers are able to identify the top two fast food brand and the best quality of food that are most preferred by students. The first on the list is Jollibee with a total of 128 respondents, followed by McDonald’s with 105 respondent.

Yearly Consumer/Sales Of Each Fast Food Restaurant

• Jollibee's yearly consumer have been growing since it's first release and up until now it still kept going up. According to Jollibee Foods Corporation, on February 21, 2024. They were considered as the second fastest-growing restaurant brand in the world. They also stated that according to the latest annual brand ranking. Jollibee reached rank 17 from the growth they are having. They also stated that they are confident in the path that they are taking.

• McDonald's have been reigning at top since it's sudden boom. Up until now they are ranking at top 2 in charts gaining 39,993M USD when it comes to sales. Unlike Jollibee, 

• Although McDonald's are ranking at top. It looks like that Jollibee is catching up faster than it looks jumping 3 ranks (From 20 to 17 in the span of 1 year). Despite things looking promising for Jollibee, we can't deny that McDonald's will win in terms of daily consumer and sales.

Comparing statistics of prices 

• This year, Jollibee's "1pc Chicken joy Solo" pricing have decreased from being 99 pesos before to being 89 this year. Additionally, Their "Jolly Spaghetti" is at very low 60 pesos if with drinks it's 93 because of this pricing and the sudden inflation rate most people adored and love the pricing the Jollibee gives. Below is the prices of every meal in Jollibee:

• Although McDonald's is famous for their burgers. They still endorsed Chicken and Rice meals here in the Philippines since most Filipino don't eat burgers. So to match their competitor they introduced their chicken and rice meal for the price of 99 pesos but unlike Jollibee they have a meal called "Crispy Chicken Fillet Ala King Solo" that have a price of 89 pesos.

So which is better?

• Now that we tackle all the key factors. Despite the prices Jollibee can offer. We can say that it is much better to enjoy meals at McDonald's, for they have a steady quality when it comes to serving fast food regardless of how much price they offer. They have way too much establishment to outshine Jollibee in terms of delivering fast food. In conclusion, if you ever felt hungry and don't know what to eat McDonald's will ensure that you'll receive a quality and better food delivery than Jollibee!
